Terms
Last updated September 15, 2026
These terms cover your use of Tessera. Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use it.
01What Tessera is
You connect a card, and we look at it for recurring charges from companies on our shelf. When we find one, we pay you back a share of it in $TESS, a token on Arc. Tessera is not a broker, a bank, or an exchange, and nothing in the app is investment advice. Tessera is built on Arc; it is not made, run or endorsed by Circle.
02Who can use it
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the card you connect must be your own. The list of countries we serve can change.
03Your wallet
$TESS is paid to a wallet you control. We never hold your keys and cannot move, freeze, or recover what is in it. If you lose access to the wallet, we cannot restore what was paid there.
04The card you connect
We read the charges on it, and only the recurring ones from companies on the shelf reach us as a match. You can disconnect a card at any time; matches already paid are not undone. We may reject a charge that is a duplicate, a refund, or one we have reason to believe is not yours.
05What you are paid in
You are paid in $TESS. The dollar amount is the company’s rate applied to the charge, converted at the $TESS market price when the claim is approved. A $17.99 Netflix bill at 3% is about fifty-four cents, paid as whatever $TESS that buys at the time. If $TESS is not trading yet, approved claims are held at their dollar amount and paid at the market price once it is. The rate a company pays, and the shelf itself, can change at any time; a change applies to charges matched after it.
06What we do not promise
$TESS has a market price, that price moves in both directions, and it can fall to zero. You are not buying stock and you are not a shareholder in any company on the shelf. We do not promise any value, any return, or that a particular company stays on the shelf.
07Ending it
You can stop using Tessera whenever you like; what has already been paid to your wallet stays yours. We can close an account that abuses the matching process, and we can stop the service.
08Changes
